Are Private Jets Allowed to Land at Both Major Commercial and Smaller Airports?

Private Jets Access to Major Commercial and Smaller Airports

Private jets are typically allowed to depart and land at all major commercial airports and many smaller facilities. Both airport types have pros and cons that should be considered. Commercial airports classified as “hubs” offer more services and luxury, but also have much more traffic and associated ground and sky congestion. Smaller airports often lack some of the amenities of a large commercial facility, but also deliver less congestion and locations that are closer to home and travel destinations.

In addition to location and services, you should also consider your preferred airport's ability to accommodate your private flying necessities. For example, depending on the size of your private plane and its take off and landing requirements (distance, air speed, time of day, etc.), there may be some smaller airports unable to accommodate your airplane. Also available ground transportation may or may not be a positive feature of smaller airports.

Finally, you should be aware that private airports come in two basic flavors – privately owned / publicly used and privately owned and privately used. Blue Star Jets is familiar with the services of around 5,000 airports available for airplane charter flights. Therefore, you don't need to become an airport expert to access the best facilities for your needs.
